Selfie.im – When Narcissism is Not a Crime

Sebenarnya saya ingin mengacu ke mereka yang kecanduan motret diri sendiri sih (self portrait/selfie).

Tau ngga kalau per 4 November 2013 jam 10:53 malam (pas screenshot di bawah ini saya buat) ada 54 juta lebih foto di instagram yang dengan tag #selfie. Itu baru foto di Instagram doang dan pakai hashtag #selfie. Belum termasuk yang ga pake hashtag, belum termasuk yang di Twitter, Path, Facebook, Flickr atau layanan photo sharing lainnya.

Dari beberapa akun social media yang saya punya, banyak orang dari daftar teman yang kayanya hobi banget foto dirinya sendiri. Mulai yang satu frame isinya muka semua dengan berbagai pola sampai yang tampak seluruh badan. Beberapa sih masih OK lah foto-fotonya, postingnya juga ga segitu banyak. But most of the rest are just hurting my eyes :(

Kalo ga mo susah sih tinggal unfollow/unfriend/block akun-akun yang bikin sakit mata itu. Tapi untuk beberapa alasan ga semua bisa digitukan juga. Habis, banyak yang nyinyir ga jelas tanpa introspeksi dulu gara-gara di-unfollow/unfriend/block. He he he, aduh generasi sekarang ini kok ya aneh ya :P

Saya cuman mo ngasih tahu kalo sekarang ada layanan (mungkin another social media) yang dapat mengakomodir kegiatan narsis ini.

Namanya Selfie.im

App ini kayanya baru ada buat iOS saja.
Deskripsinya juga menarik “Take selfies and share your day…only the front camera is allowed! Be yourself.”

Selfie ini mirip Instagram. Jepret foto, upload, share ke follower kamu atau sebaliknya lihat foto-foto dari orang yang kamu follow.
Bedanya, Selfie cuman ngebolehin kamu upload foto yang diambil dari kamera depan ponsel kamu.

One other thing, Selfie doesn’t allow commenting or filters to “fix” or “sharpen” your photos :P

Nah udah deh, tanpa komen = tanpa protes = sak karepmu wis potone koyo opo :P

Selfie juga punya fitur mirip Snapchat (pada tau kan Snapchat itu apa?). Foto-foto di selfie ini akan ilang dalam kurun waktu yang bisa kamu pilih. Mau 4 jam, 3 hari sampai 2 minggu.

Instagram Embed Foto dan Video

Wah, saya baru tau kalau Instagram sekarang ada fitur yang memungkinkan kita untuk embed foto maupun video. Instagram invade the web nih ceritanya.

Kini kalau kita akses Instagram via web, ada icon baru di bawah icon comments. Kalau kita akses icon ini, nanti akan muncul popup window yang berisi kode untuk embed foto/video Instagram kita itu ke web lain.

Nah contoh screenshotnya seperti di bawah ini.

Dengan begini, Instagram akan membuat penggunanya jadi makin dikenal. Kenapa? Lha itu karena baik foto ataupun video penggunanya dapat ditampilkan di situs manapun dengan kode embed tadi. Bakal head-to-head dengan Vine nih yang udah duluan ngasih fitur embed juga.

Sun-day-Fun-day

Sunday without sun… well there was sun but not for long and it’s a bit annoying since I relied only natural sun light. Ah forgot to tell, I was having a photo shoot on that Sunday :)

Plus points:

got the concepts, communicated and agreed by the client
been to the location couple of times, so got the overall idea which corners we should use
got the props although not the complete set of my list

Minus points:

like i said, cloudy and then rain :( and having problem to meter for creating the silhouette
no proper wide angle lens. Rely on Nikon 50mm and OM-D 14-42mm
the living room is not as wide as i thought :P

But I hope the result will please them *pheww* Last item in my list will be useful on the next 3 months ^_^

If you have something that you considered as a gift, then what is it?
I’ve been blessed with ability to quickly familiar with kids. And cats. :P

After photo session, I went to visit #KakakRaka and see the little Adena at BSD. First to see him and #KakakRaka has a quite long scratch on his left cheek :( So, we call him now as “Raka Battosai” :P

We had long afternoon walk around the neighbourhood. Commenting every dogs and cats he saw along the way. Later on i realised we’ve been circling the neighbourhood for couple of times. For a 19 months old boy, #KakakRaka is so full of energy. And my shape is just that bad :P *phewww*

But it was fun ^_^

Make Every Seconds Count

Hi there, it’s me again. I had no idea what to write today, so how about talking your weekend?

Some of you might gone in vacation. It’s a long weekend in Indonesia, would be better to spent it on a happy trip with your friends and family isn’t it? ^_^

Or watching the new Star Trek movie perhaps?

Mine?

Well, today I sent my car to have a body repair. You’ll have a big chance to get fucked up in Jakarta’s awful traffic *one of the worst in south east asia* And it’s my car’s turn this time. Seriously, with every shitty things i’ve got so far, i’d be so glad knocking that f*** driver’s head with a wrench and smile.

So, i’ll be car-less for few weeks but that’s fine. I haven’t drive it much anyway. Still got my bike and now i wonder why i bought that car in the first place :P Too soon. I mean first although odometer record 8000km, i drove it my self less than 1500km. Second, last couple weeks i just knew that i might have another car *hey, it’s a compliment of what i’ve been doing last decade* :D That’s ok, somebody else might need it, so it’s still useful.

Like I said, traffic in Jakarta and its suburb are the worst in the country. Stuck more than one hour just to get out from Bintaro. Another 2 hours to get back to Bintaro from the car workshop because your taxi driver just wont listen to take the route you chose (/facepalm)

Spent almost the entire evening on the bed to get my head better. Lampard finally broke his club record today. His to goals on 1-2 victory over Aston Villa make him Chelsea’s all-time highest scorer. 203 goals so far, surpassing former Chelsea striker Bobby Tambling’s long-standing club record. Not a Chelsea fan, but Lampard is surely awesome. Congratulation, Frankie.

Well I never knew how much i’ve got so better to always make it count. Be helpful for others. Make more people happy.

Got my first maternity photo session tomorrow morning. Hope result will be good and pleased the couple. That will make 2 (+1 in the future) more people happy :)

*sigh* another sleepless midnight passed..

Instagram: Photos of You

Tau ngga kalo Instagram baru ajah meluncurkan fitur baru?
Seperti halnya Facebook, kita sekarang bisa tag foto di Instagram. Tapi kita cuman bisa nge-tag foto-foto milik kita sendiri yah, bukan foto-foto orang yang kita-follow.

Kalau sebelumnya kan kita pake cara ala twitter dengan @mentioned orang yang ingin kita “tag”. Cuman cara ini dianggap ga efektif buat tracking karena ga ada menu khusus untuk ngelihat siapa sih yang udah mentioned kita. FItur baru ini diharapkan dapat membantu membangun koleksi foto-foto dimana kita di-tag di dalamnya, kemudian dari koleksi tadi kita dapat pilih sendiri mana yang akan muncul di profile dan mana yang ngga. Jadi kita menjadi kurator foto-foto kita sendiri “sumbangan” dari orang-orang lain :)

Itu benefit buat kita sebagai pelanggan. Kalo dari sisi Instagram sih jelas akan meningkatkan trafik kunjungan ke Instagram dengan adanya notifikasi tagging tadi. Ini adalah potensi bisnis buat… iklan. Yak, tidak hanya tagging username, brand/merek juga bisa di tag di sini.

Trus, gimana cara taggingnya?
Nah berikut ini saya bikin contoh sederhana ya Instagram versi iOS


Pilih menu profile dari icon pojok kanan bawah, nanti menu Photos of You akan muncul setelah kamu update Intagram ke versi terakhir. Pilih satu foto dari gallery kamu. Dalam hal ini saya pilih foto Danbo yang lagi manyun karena hujan di kordinat 2:1

Tap di icon “…” yang ada di pojok kanan foto (sederet dengan tombol liked dan comment itu lho) Menu baru akan muncul, pilih saja Add People

Nah, tinggal search dan pilih deh username yang pingin kamu tag.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Change

It’s like many things are going into my mind, but this one came up.

End of March Domo broke his leg. It’s unrepairable.
Well it actually can be repaired but … Domo cant pose anymore with any style related with leg movement.
That’s boring.

So I did the transplantation :P
