Sebentar, kalau Samsung -> kamera … fine. Sebagai raksasa elektronik, selain bikin kulkas-ac-tv-stereo system, Samsung sudah lama bikin kamera poket. Jadi kalau mereka bikin mirrorless ILC disuntik Android kayanya ga heboh-heboh banget. Sony did that also.

Tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa pasar kamere poket a.k.a point-shoot dah mulai menurun, or might be dying even for the mighty Nikon. Semuanya pada kegerus oleh tingkat pertumbahan camera-phone yang sangat-sangat dratis naiknya.
Dalam sebuah wawancara dengan Bloomberg, Presdir Nikon Makoto Kimura menyampaikan
“Jumlah orang yang mengambil foto meningkat sangat tajam seiring pertumbuhan penggunaan smartphone yang tahu kemarin diperkirakan terjual 750 juta unit. Dan angka itu terus bertambah.”
Menurut Camera & Imaging Products Association di Tokyo, penjualan kamera poket secara global pada bulan Mei ini turun hingga 48% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya, sementara SLR 6%. Dan Nikon sendiri cukup merasakan akibatnya karena menurut proyeksi mereka, pasar kamera poket mereka akan mengalami penurunan sebanyak 12% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.
Sementara itu lihat saja spesifikasi Nokia Lumia 1020. PureView 41 MP sensor dengan Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), lensa Zeiss lengkap dengan Xenon Flash bahkan LED untuk rekam video.
“Pertumbuhan mobile devices yang sangat cepat telah merubah lingkungan bisnis kami,” kata Kimura. “Langkah ke depan kami adalah untuk menemukan jawaban atas tantangan ini.”
Terkait dengan hal di atas Kimura menambahkan “Kami ingin menciptakan produk yang akan mengubah konsep kamera. Ini bisa menjadi produk non-camera-consumer.”. Kalimat yang cukup menggoda buat digosipin walau Kimura menyangkal bahwa Nikon sedang membuat sebuah smartphone.
Jadi, bakal seperti apa senjata rahasia dari Nikon ini?
Beneran ga Nikon bakal bikin smartphone? Semoga sih penampilannya ga bikin ilfil kaya Galaxy S4 Zoom :)
Sunday without sun… well there was sun but not for long and it’s a bit annoying since I relied only natural sun light. Ah forgot to tell, I was having a photo shoot on that Sunday :)
Plus points:
got the concepts, communicated and agreed by the client
been to the location couple of times, so got the overall idea which corners we should use
got the props although not the complete set of my list
Minus points:
like i said, cloudy and then rain :( and having problem to meter for creating the silhouette
no proper wide angle lens. Rely on Nikon 50mm and OM-D 14-42mm
the living room is not as wide as i thought :P
But I hope the result will please them *pheww* Last item in my list will be useful on the next 3 months ^_^

After photo session, I went to visit #KakakRaka and see the little Adena at BSD. First to see him and #KakakRaka has a quite long scratch on his left cheek :( So, we call him now as “Raka Battosai” :P
We had long afternoon walk around the neighbourhood. Commenting every dogs and cats he saw along the way. Later on i realised we’ve been circling the neighbourhood for couple of times. For a 19 months old boy, #KakakRaka is so full of energy. And my shape is just that bad :P *phewww*

Well, today I sent my car to have a body repair. You’ll have a big chance to get fucked up in Jakarta’s awful traffic *one of the worst in south east asia* And it’s my car’s turn this time. Seriously, with every shitty things i’ve got so far, i’d be so glad knocking that f*** driver’s head with a wrench and smile.
So, i’ll be car-less for few weeks but that’s fine. I haven’t drive it much anyway. Still got my bike and now i wonder why i bought that car in the first place :P Too soon. I mean first although odometer record 8000km, i drove it my self less than 1500km. Second, last couple weeks i just knew that i might have another car *hey, it’s a compliment of what i’ve been doing last decade* :D That’s ok, somebody else might need it, so it’s still useful.
Like I said, traffic in Jakarta and its suburb are the worst in the country. Stuck more than one hour just to get out from Bintaro. Another 2 hours to get back to Bintaro from the car workshop because your taxi driver just wont listen to take the route you chose (/facepalm)

Spent almost the entire evening on the bed to get my head better. Lampard finally broke his club record today. His to goals on 1-2 victory over Aston Villa make him Chelsea’s all-time highest scorer. 203 goals so far, surpassing former Chelsea striker Bobby Tambling’s long-standing club record. Not a Chelsea fan, but Lampard is surely awesome. Congratulation, Frankie.

Got my first maternity photo session tomorrow morning. Hope result will be good and pleased the couple. That will make 2 (+1 in the future) more people happy :)
Another sleepless night and i wont touch those xanax the doctor gave me just to get sleep. Nope!
But in the other hand, this insomnia make me think brighter. Well not always ^_^. Tonight weather looks fine and it’s a quiet night actually here at Bintaro. I’ve read many articles in these last couple of hours, clear up some space after selecting some photos i shot lately. Wrote 2 blog entries. But still stuck doing some geeky stuffs. My fingers seems to reject me for typing codes, but they did good blogging :P
Anyway, I’m not a pro (yet) but I like taking picture. Got time to shoot some picture the couple of weeks. It’s good for health also, since you can interact with other fellow photographers, models, other people. Put you off the hook from office shit that sucking you like a dementor.
Last Saturday (well it’s 2 weeks ago actually) I joined a hunting session at Taman Langsat, Jakarta. Meet some old friends, make new ones. But there were too many people (‘photographers’) and it took most of the fun out of the window. You cant wish everybody to have manner unlike you and your group. Some of them will always be some egoistic people with only one thing in their mind. Their own self.
But it’s OK. It’s a risk you have to take. You’ll have one in your group. So no wonder if you’ll find many in bunch of strangers :P So spent most of the time having chat with some fellow shooter and models. Manage to shot some nice photos of the models, well I think so. These 7 photos below were taken using OM-D E-M5 in 1×1 square format feature.
One thing i’ve regret that there was a group of local kid playing in the pool. It caught my eyes, but i have no evergy to cross the river for taking their picture jumping in the water from proper location.

I’m ditching my Tamron 17-50/2.8. I’m planning to go FX in the future. Therefor I need to get use to FX lenses also. In this case my FX lenses are Nikkor AF-D 50/1.4 and 85/1.8.
These are my gears, an Olympus OM-D E-M5 and a Nikon D7k with 85/1.8D.

Finish at Taman Langsat, I took a walk to Gandaria City. Got some pictures of bajaj drivers waiting for their passengers. I spent almost 30 hours on bed after that. My head was like exploding for the whole night and losing motor control of my body. I could barely move my left body part only. If Rara not coming down to my house for helping me that day, this entry would’ve been made by somebody else.
For the last 2 weeks I’m taking train again. Taking car and furthermore a sport bike to the office is like a suicide plan for me :P It’s not the traffic jam or 26km distance that matter. Just to avoid bad things coz i don’t know when my head will act strange again. It costly since i would only spent around IDR 100k a week only when taking my bike. This time I have to budget IDR 38k for one trip only to the office.

But in exchange, i got these pictures taken using my iPhone and also my OM-D. Yah, everything has 2 sides of story ^_^. It’s 4:44 am already. Have to try to sleep although for only couple minutes. Need to catch a train on the next 2 hours.

Roadmap Nikon biasanya mengeluarkan produk baru setiap 3 tahun. Tahun 2012 kemarin entry level D3200 dan D5200 telah diluncurkan untuk menggantikan seri sebelumnya. Tahun ini giliran D7000 yang digantikan oleh generasi barunya.
D7100 adalah kamera APS-C dengan resolusi 24 megapixel, sama seperti halnya D3200 dan D5200.
Lah, trus bedanya apa dong?

Resolusi boleh sama, tapi sensornya beda. Sensor D7100 ini tidak menggunakan optical low-pass filter/OLPF (mirip dengan D800E). Dengan tidak adanya filter ini, maka diharapkan akan menghilangkan aliasing distorsion yang akan membuat foto jadi lebih tajam. Bahkan bisa dibilang sensor baru di D7100 ini sudah tidak membutuhkan filter tersebut. Untuk info lebih lanjut mengenai apa itu low-pass filter silakan klik di sini.
Beberapa hal yang menjadi pembeda D7100 dengan D7000 diantaranya adalah AF systemnya.
D7100 menggunakan Advanced Multi-CAM 3500DX dengan 51 focus point dan 15 cross type. Multi-CAM 4800DX di D7000 hanya punya 39 titik fokus dengan 9 cross type. LCD sekarang jadi 3.2inch dengan 1.2megapixel, dibandingkan 3inch 921k pixel di D7000. D7100 mampu menghasilkan video HD 1080p di 24/25/30fps, 50i, 60i. D7000 hanya 1080p 24fps. Thanks to new EXPEED 3 image processor yang ditanamkan di bodi D7100.

Gear Nikon saya saat ini adalah Nikon D7000, beli akhir tahun kemarin setelah kesana-kemari nyari (bahkan sampai ke Thailand). D7000 sempat langka karena produksinya di Thailand sempat terhambat akibat imbas banjir besar yang melanda Thailand (Bangkok khususnya). Shutter count lom sampai 2000 dah ada penggantinya ajah nih. Tahun kemarin lebih sering menggunakan EVIL camera sih karena faktor lebih portabel buat traveling.
Time to replace?
Could be “Yes” but i will go FX, not another DX.
Let say at least to D600 or get a used D700 ( no budget, i need to make money first from this D7k :( ).
It will be “no” since my D7000 never disappoint me this far. Change to another DX is not an upgrade ^_^
Perhaps if there is a D300s successor, it could be something to be considered :P
